Downtown GFW Façade Improvement Program

FACADE IMPROVEMENT

Better storefronts. Stronger businesses. A downtown we’re proud to show off.

Downtown is one of the first places residents and visitors experience in Grand Falls-Windsor. The appearance of our storefronts, buildings and streets plays an important role in how people perceive our community and whether they choose to stop, explore, shop and return.

Downtown Rooftop Patio

A New View of Downtown GFW.

The Downtown Rooftop Patio is a proposed public gathering space overlooking High Street, designed to create a unique place to meet, relax, enjoy events and experience downtown from a whole new perspective.

The vision is to transform an underused rooftop into a vibrant destination for residents and visitors—featuring comfortable seating, lighting, greenery, entertainment and incredible views of the downtown core.

More than a patio, it’s about creating another reason to come downtown, stay longer and experience GFW differently.

Main Street Revitilivation

Let’s Talk About Main Street

What does Main Street need?

Strengthening Main Street will require a multi-phase plan and cooperation between building owners, business owners and the Town.

Yes, it has challenges, but it also has history, visibility, accessibility and real potential.

A revitalization plan could include:

• Private investment
• Façade improvements
• New businesses and productive uses for vacant buildings
• Targeted tax incentives tied to investment and occupancy
• Enforced property standards so vacant buildings remain safe, secure and presentable

Main Street won’t be transformed by one project or one organization. It will take a coordinated plan and a shared commitment to improving the entire corridor.

What should the first phase of a Main Street revitalization plan include?
